After successfully launching The Bridewell Theatre's Lunchbox series in October 2005 with a classic production of Harold Pinter's The Lover, No Agenda Theatre Company were invited back to present the UK professional premiere of Wildwood Park by the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning author of Quills and I Am My Own Wife; Doug Wright. Wildwood Park is a taut psychological thriller, exploring the seductive draw of the macabre.

If God gave me the chance to see evil, then I would look at it. And that is a terrible thing to know about oneself.

Unspeakable secrets are exposed in a house with a notorious and terrifying past.

What people said about Wildwood Park

A chilling and eerie performance. Left theatre feeling really quite disturbed... Would thoroughly recommend.

It was unusual and kept you guessing to the end with lots of twists and turns. The actors were excellent and really made you feel as if you were there viewing the house too.

It was really great play, I really enjoyed Wildwood Park.

It's such a pleasure to take a theatre break - a captivating 45 minutes I'll add. Good choice of play, splendid acting - I felt I was really in that house!

In October 2005 No Agenda Theatre Company successfully launched The Bridewell Theatres Lunchbox series with a classic production of Harold Pinter's The Lover in celebration of Harold Pinter's 75th birthday, the only production of Pinters work to be taking place in England on Pinter's birthday.

Does it ever occur to you that while you're spending the afternoon being unfaithful to me I'm sitting at my desk going through balance sheets and graphs?

Well of course it occurs to me ... it makes it all the more piquant

The Lover is a provocative and powerful exploration of relationships, revealing much more than is at first apparent. This is a memorable production of Pinter's sharp and insightful play.

Well received by lunchtime audiences

Customers who came to see The Lover had this to say about it:

I thought it was a wonderful performance all round.

A good way to spend your lunch hour. Really nice to do something different.

Fantastic lunch-time entertainment.

I thought the choice of play and the acting was excellent - I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Many thanks for such a lovely play. I always look forward to your little lunchbox plays, and will certainly recommend you to others.

I didn't know the play at all, and thought it was terrific. The venue is also very good, and for a fiver and 50p for a programme bloody good value.

Thank you. Great play and well acted!! Best lunch break I've had for ages.

Further congratulations to Harold Pinter

This production of The Lover was performed as a celebration of Harold Pinter's 75th birthday. During our run at The Bridewell Theatre, Harold Pinter was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. No Agenda Theatre would like to congratulate Harold Pinter on his 75th Birthday, and offer our sincere thanks for the inspiration he has provided over the last half century.

We would further like to congratulate Mr Pinter for winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, a very timely recognition of the immense integrity, candour and wit he has demonstrated throughout his work in literature and politics.
